As reported on many threads lately, a lot of users are facing issues with apps like Instagram and Spotify with the new Electra Jailbreak. So this post is intended to help (if possible) those who are experiencing such issues.
After messing around through Filza, Cydia, and even trying NoSubstitute and Liberty Lite, my Instagram app (stock app) kept crashing whenever I opened it. Either that or it would just lag and be slow to load. Note that I do not have Anemone installed, so that couldn’t be the issue for me at all. But then I disabled every tweak through iCleaner Pro until I found that one tweak that was making my Instagram app face these issues.
It was PersonInPicture(ForceInPicture). See the video below:
In case you DO have this tweak installed and you are facing these issues, see the step-by-step fix listed below.
In case you DO NOT have this tweak installed, it could be Anemone as pointed out by some users. That wasn’t my case tho, since I don’t even have Anemone. But you can use the step-by-step guide to see if it’s Anemone who is conflicting with your Instagram/Spotify app.
STEP-BY-STEP FIX:
1 - Install iCleaner/iCleaner Pro (repo: cydia.angelxwind.net);
2 - Respring your device upon the installation of the tweak;
3 - Open iCleaner or iCleaner Pro and tap on the + button at the bottom;
4 - Go to Cydia Substrate Addons and disable PersonInPicture;
5 - Respring your device again and open Instagram;
6 - If Instagram is back at normal again, then you know it is PersonInPicture that’s messing up the app. If so, uninstall the tweak through Cydia and respring your device one last time.
(You can try this with *Anemone** too in case you don’t have PersonInPicture installed or that it isn’t the one conflicting. You can also try this workaround on iCleaner for other tweaks in case neither of these tweaks are the issue)*
IF NEITHER THESE TWO TWEAKS ARE GIVING YOU THESE ISSUES AND YOU DON’T KNOW WHICH TWEAK IS CAUSING THIS, USE iCLEANER TO DISABLE ALL TWEAKS AND ENABLE ONE BY ONE WHILE ALSO OPENING THE APP THAT USUALLY CRASHES. ONCE THE APP STARTS CRASHING AFTER YOU’VE ENABLED A CERTAIN TWEAK THEN YOU’LL KNOW WHAT TWEAK IS DOING THIS.
EDIT: In case Anemone is the Tweak that’s giving you issues, instead of uninstalling it completely or disabling it completely, use the iCleaner method mentioned above to only disable AnemoneUIKit.dylib, that way you can keep your themes. If that doesn’t work, try disabling Anemone’s fonts too. Reported to work by u/jinghuan0609 and u/Tabs_555
Just disable anemoneUIKit for those who have anemone installed :)

I used the iCleaner troubleshooting technique and for me, the culprit turned out to be BatteryPercentX.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Disabling the AnemoneFonts.dylib in iCleaner Pro solved my Instagram lag+crash on launch issue!! MUCH APPRECIATED!

For me problem was from SCOthman for Snap (iOS11). After disabling from iCleaner everything is ok.
